Cooking and Eating for the Bladder and Kidney

At this time of year, in the dead of winter, many living organisms have retreated to their core to hibernate and conserve energy; the Kidney/Bladder meridians represent this core foundation energy. It is the Kidney/Bladder function to make the most of our constitutional energy. It is responsible for providing the basic impulse toward life, the ability to grow, to reproduce and to control healthy response and stress levels to external situations. Learning easy to cook recipes specifically for these meridians is a great way to nourish, comfort and calm the body.
On the menu is:
- Spicy Corn and Kidney Bean soup
- Nori Seaweed Sushi Rolls
- Corn Bread
- Cucumber and Dillisk (Seaweed) Salad
- Leek and Arame (Seaweed) Salad
- A selection of seaweeds to try and taste
- Baked Stuffed Apples
- Sweet/Lemon Barley Water
- Fragrant Orange Chai
The cost of the day is €60, concession €50 (€20 deposit is required) and will include all food cooked and eaten on the day.
The day will run from 12 am til 4 pm and will be hosted in the light and bright kitchen at the Hunky Chunk House. There is plenty of parking and the Bayside Dart station is a 2 minute walk away. There is space for 5-6 participants per day so book early to avoid disappointment.
